The new facility was built on the site adjacent to an existing building that was in use as an alternative school. A retaining wall was constructed due to the difference in elevation from the existing school to the new school. Upon completion of the new Grovetown Elementary School, the ‘old’ building was demolished providing areas for new landscaping and play fields.
