Training & Certifications
Ace University's Training & Certification programs are designed to ensure every employee is safe, qualified, and job-ready. These programs focus on regulatory compliance, hands-on skill development, and maintaining the highest standards across both Mission Critical and Volume work. Through structured training and industry-recognized certifications, Ace University equips employees with the knowledge and credentials needed to perform safely, efficiently, and with confidence in the field.
Safety Certifications
OSHA 10/30
- Ace University offers OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training to help employees recognize workplace hazards and follow safe construction practices. OSHA 10 certification is required for all Ace Electric employees, and new hires must have completed OSHA training within the past four years. To register an employee for OSHA training, contact aceuniversity@aceelectric.net.
NFPA 70E
- Ace University offers NFPA 70E training to help employees recognize electrical hazards and understand safe work practices when working on or near energized electrical equipment. Training is offered every Wednesday morning at Ace University in both English and Spanish. NFPA 70E training can also be assigned online through Ace U Online.
CPR Certification
- Ace University offers American Heart Association (AHA) CPR training to help employees develop the lifesaving skills needed to respond confidently during an emergency. Ace U has seven AHA-certified instructors and offers CPR training every Monday at Ace University in both English and Spanish. Onsite CPR training can also be scheduled for divisions and project locations based on need.

Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Program
- Ace University’s Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Program prepares eligible employees to safely perform work on or near energized electrical equipment. The program includes required training, certifications, assessments, and annual continuing education in accordance with NFPA 70E and Ace Electric safety requirements. Employees interested in becoming QEW certified must meet eligibility requirements and receive a recommendation from their supervisor.
Field Safety & Compliance Training
Confined Space (Competent Person)
- Ace University offers Confined Space Competent Person Training for field-level employees who may work in or around confined spaces. The course covers hazard recognition, atmospheric testing, entry procedures, ventilation, permit requirements, emergency planning, and rescue considerations. Participants develop the knowledge needed to identify unsafe conditions, implement protective measures, and support compliance with OSHA requirements.
Trenching & Excavation (Competent Person)
- Ace University offers Trenching and Excavation Competent Person Training for employees responsible for overseeing or performing work in and around trenches and excavations. The course covers hazard recognition, soil classification, protective systems, daily inspections, and emergency response procedures. Participants develop the knowledge needed to identify unsafe conditions, take corrective action, and support compliance with OSHA requirements.
RESET (Reinforcing Employee Safety Excellence Training)
- Ace University’s RESET program provides tenured employees with a refresher on Ace Electric’s essential safety expectations, policies, and procedures. The training reinforces hazard recognition, safe work practices, personal accountability, and the standards employees are expected to follow on every Ace Electric project. RESET helps ensure experienced employees remain current, consistent, and committed to Ace Electric’s safety culture.
